

Going fishingYesterday, I ventured into the great grey abyss to catch myself a fish. I stood on the corner of Lake Street and caught the biggest yellowest stripiest fish I could find. At first it put up a fight, sloshing its golden tentacles against the crackley tarmacked ocean and bleated bubbles of smoke, but I wrangled it in with my alphabet lures, letting it savor each vowel and consonant that melted on its greasy black tongue. Any bounty fishergirl worth her weight in salt can catch a taxi. As I licked my lips at my latest meal, I ran my callused hands against the shiny metallic membrane separating the two of us, leaving my fingerprints all over it.Going fishing


The YesterdaysAs the subway hurtled past 42nd and Broadway, I sat down next to a watermelon with pink rhinestones glued onto her hard green shell. She tried her plump green fingers at her pink phone, but there is never service for watermelons in subways. Never. She huffed and threw her phone back into her purse, and checked out the cantaloupe across the aisle. She ran her eyes hungrily along his rough spotted skin all the way down to his fake tanned orange feet. She asked his name, but received no reply as he tumbled away from her. She sighed, and mourned the cantaloupe that had gotten away. I ogled her, contemplating her pink sweet soft seedy iThe Yesterdays

i can't figure out how to use this thing. i got it a while ago and then i read one of your poems and figured out how to subscribe, but i can't figure out how to put mine up. blahhhhhf computers
